What is an AED made for? AED Thailand
An AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) is a portable device designed to treat sudden cardiac arrests. The device has built-in computers that assess the victim’s heart rhythm, judge whether defibrillation is needed, and then administer the shock. The objective is to send an electric shock to the heart muscle to bring it back to its normal rhythm. Once open it provides audible and/or visual prompts and instructions about what you have to do.
